Doodle in the Margins: Nara and Kai again

I'm not feeling very inspired to write lately, so here's a doodle of Nara (the main character of my current writing project) and Kai (her giant battle dog) racing across the tundra. Are they running just for the heck or it, or are they off to rescue someone? I don't even know. I mostly just wanted to practice drawing someone on horseback (dog-back?) and figure out proportions.

And if you're wondering "What's with her face??" she wears a mask when she rides so that she doesn't get frostbite or snow blindness. Which is also convenient for me because I really stink at drawing faces. :)
